Compensation System Monitoring and Maintenance

Efforts are being made to increase the quality of the available energy and to deliver it to the user in the most economical way. In electrical energy, various electrical losses occur from the power plants where it is generated until it reaches the load where it is consumed. One of the processes to reduce these losses and utilize electrical energy in the most efficient way is the compensation process.

Generally, compensation is defined as follows: "It is the process of keeping the phase shift between voltage and current close to zero as a result of inductive and capacitive effect."

On January 9, 2007, with the "Regulation Amending the Electricity Market Customer Services Regulation" published in the Official Gazette, Reactive Power limits are specified in the table below.

POWER OF CONTRACT

greater than 30 KW

If the above-mentioned limits are exceeded, a penalty fee is reflected on your invoice by the institution from which you receive electricity. Many businesses are careless when examining electricity bills and are not even aware of this by paying penalty fees for nothing. In order to avoid such situations, your compensation system should be checked regularly and daily values should be recorded.

As Beta Elektrik, we monitor the values of your compensation system on a daily basis and in cases that pose a risk of penalty, we identify and intervene with our maintenance team as soon as possible. In this way, you both use cleaner energy and get rid of unnecessary penalty fees.
